The awards, offered by IDFC First Financial institution, has 30 classes. The six Fashionable Alternative Awards are Sportsman of the Yr, Sportswoman of the Yr, Nationwide Crew of the Yr, Membership Crew of the Yr, Sporting Second of the Yr and Spirit of Sports activities.
There will probably be 22 Jury awards, the winners of which have been chosen by an elite panel headed by legendary India cricketer Sunil Gavaskar. Olympic gold medal-winning shooter Abhinav Bindra, former India hockey captain M. M. Somaya, chess nice Viswanathan Anand, former India soccer skipper Bhaichung Bhutia and Olympians Anjali Bhagwat and Aparna Popat are the opposite members of the jury.

There may even be a Chairperson’s Award for Sports activities for Social Good, which can honour people or organisations which have used the facility of sports activities to make the world a greater place.
“This year’s Sportstar Aces Awards is special as it is entering its 5th year,” Ayon Sengupta, editor of Sportstar stated.
“To celebrate this, we have introduced a new award — ‘Inspirational Icon’. This award will champion athletes who have enthused the next generation to pick up sports and have also used the power of sports to leave a mark on the larger society.”

The event will probably be graced by members of the 1983 World Cup-winning staff because the nation gears as much as have fun 40 years of India’s first World Cup title.
