The secretary of the Board of Management for Cricket in India (BCCI), Jay Shah, introduced on Sunday that India has been awarded the “Guinness World Document” for the most important attendance in a T20 match ever. The milestone was set throughout the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 ultimate between the eventual winners Gujarat Titans and the Rajasthan Royals on the Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat.

It’s certainly a proud second for all the nation to have been honored with the Guinness World Document for the very best attendance ever in a T20 cricket match. The Narendra Modi Stadium (also referred to as Motera) was revamped in 2021 and was renamed with the hope of inviting a ‘record-breaking’ crowd to cricket matches on the venue.
Earlier often called Gujarat Cricket Affiliation (GCA) Stadium, Motera the stadium has a capability of 110,000 which is almost 10,000 greater than Melbourne Cricket Floor with an official capability of 100,024.
